Enable Two-Factor Authentication.

We recommend activating two-factor authentication if you send sensitive personal data via email, or if you want to secure yourself against hackers. This means that you must have your phone on you when you log in. The Two-Factor Authentication only activated for the email address you are currently signed in with.

Sign in to the webmail as you normally would.

Select Settings > Password > Two-Factor Authentication.

Here you are presented with the choice of using an Authenticator App or receiving a one-time code as a text message. We recommend the app solution, as this is the safest option.

Use Authenticator App

We recommend the Microsoft Authenticator (iOS / Android).

Microsoft Authenticator backs up and synchronizes your keys between all your devices. You probably already have an authenticator app installed on your phone in relation to other online accounts or your work. Feel free to use the existing options on your phone, because we support all authenticator apps.

Go into the webmail and select the Google Authenticator option.

Enter your current password.

On your phone in the chosen authenticator app select Add Account.

Scan the QR Code shown in the webmail with the authenticator app.

Type the confirmation code from the app into the webmail interface.

Press Submit.

You will be signed out and will be asked to sign in once more.

Done! Going forward you will be asked to open the app on your phone and enter the confirmation code every time you sign in.

Receive Text Message

In the webmail select Enable with SMS.

Enter your current password.

Type your phone number in the following format: 011-countrycode-xxxxxxxx, for example 011-45-12345678 and press Submit.

Type in the confirmation code you received as a text message on your phone.

Press Submit.

You will be signed out and will be asked to sign in once more.

Done! Going forward you will be asked to type the one-time code received on your phone every time you sign in.

Disable Two-Factor Authentication.

We recommend activating two-factor authentication if you send sensitive personal data via email, or if you want to secure yourself against hackers. This means that you must have your phone on you when you log in.

Sign in to the webmail as you normally would.

Select Settings > Password > Two-Factor Authentication.

Select Disable.

Enter your password.

Enter the one-time confirmation code from the Authenticator App or text message.

Press Submit.

Two-factor authentication has now been disabled and you may sign in without having your phone nearby.
